Originally from North Yorkshire Laurie trained at Arts Educational, Chiswick graduating in 2007 with a 1.1 BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre.

Laurie is extremely proud to have worked with Dame Gillian Lyne, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Trevor Nunn and Bill Deamer to create the new version of the Gumbie Jenny any-dots in the London revival of Cats, London Palladium along Nicole Scherzinger and Kerry Ellis.

Teaching and other Experience Includes:
Jazz Tutor at Associated Studios, Fulham, London 2015.
Head of dance and Gap course leader at Emil Dale Academy Hitchin, Hertfordshire a position she created and held from 2016 - 2023.  

Resident Judge Dance Inspirations UK and Ireland Tour 2023-2024. 

Resident Coach for Arts International 2023-2024. 

Senior Lecturer of Jazz Technique, Leeds Conservatoire 2024-present.

Assistant Director for Imagine Panto Aladdin 2024-25 Beck Theatre Hayes.

Guest Tutor and choreographer for Big Little Theatre Company, Bournmouth 2022-present.
Laurie has also taught for Arts Educational, Performers Birmingham and many other colleges and Musical theatre providers up and down the UK.
Laurie is the Creative Director of Spirit Young Performers Weekly Program Aswell as delivering teaching and Musical Theatre Education up and down the Uk at various other providers.
Laurie joined the team at Laine Theatre Arts in 2023 as a guest tutor and now works with students in all year groups delivering Acting through Song.
