Jane Hendry
Jane was trained in Portsmouth, by Jean Marks, renowned for tap excellence, winning several national competitions.
Upon graduating Laine Theatre Arts, Jane appeared in “The Freddie Starr Show“ at the Bournemouth International Centre and Blackpool Opera House, working for Canadian choreographer Trudy Moffatt.
She also appeared in numerous pantomimes across the UK, as dancer, understudy and dance captain for Trudy Moffat, Carole Todd and Alan Cullany.
Before moving to Germany, Jane also worked for a Greek Cruise line, Epiritiki.
In Germany, Jane quickly progressed from third soloist and assistant choreographer at Phantasialand, Brühl, to Soloist and Choreographer. She remained in Germany for eight years, appearing in many TV and Trade Shows in Hamburg, Köln and Brühl alongside German Illusionists Siegfried and Roy, working with Paula Abdul’s assistant.
Jane also choreographed and performed in a live, televised “Summer Special” over six weeks for Phantasialand and has worked alongside Cher, David Hasselhoff, The BeeGees and Bob Geldof, to name but a few.
A highlight was meeting and performing twice for Michael Jackson.
Jane has had the honour of teaching students at Laine since 2000, becoming Head of Tap in 2011.
