Alison Forrester

Alison teaches at Laine Theatre Arts, is an ISTD Examiner, Fellow, Tutor, AED Adjudicator  and IDO World Tap Championship Judge. Because of her experience during 9 years of tap dance study in the USA, she was instrumental in creating the New Tap Examination System for the ISTD and therefore lectures nationally and internationally on the subject to teachers. She regularly coaches the ISTD Licentiate and Fellowship status exams to more experienced teachers. She ran her own Dance School for 12 years. Alison continues to study Rhythm and American Tap. Coached the only UK Youth Tap Company, Tap Attack for many years. She became the first England judge for the International Dance Organization 9 years ago and therefore Judges the World Tap Championships. Lately she was appointed as Lead Lecturer internationally for the ISTD. She enjoys Adjudicating throughout the UK.
