Dale Branston

Dale is an Olivier Award winning triple threat performer, Vocal Coach and Musical Director with over 30 years’ experience, including performance credits that range from top West End Musicals to Hollywood Blockbuster Movies.

Most recently, Dale can be seen as ‘The Baker’ in Disney’s live action movie musical ‘Beauty And The Beast’ alongside Emma Watson (Disney 2017) and as the ‘Bella Donna Hotel Baker/Staff’ in Mamma Mia2: Here We Go Again (Universal 2018).

He began his singing career as a teenager playing lead roles over a 4-year period with the Bedfordshire Youth Opera Company and then went on to gain a Distinction for his Musical Theatre Diploma at Laine Theatre Arts, where he began his singing teaching career at the Laine Saturday Associate school, while still in training.

After graduating Laine, he travelled the world singing and dancing on some of the most prestigious Cunard cruise liners, including the original QE2, and has an impressive performance CV playing Ensemble and Lead roles in West End musicals such as Andrew Lloyd Webbers ‘Starlight Express’ (Apollo Victoria), Leonard Bernstein’s ‘Mass 2000’ (Queen Elizabeth Hall), ‘Jerry Springer – The Opera’ (National Theatre/Cambridge Theatre/BBC DVD) - where he jointly won the 2004 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Role In A Musical as part of the Jerry Springer Opera Chorus. Webber’s ‘The Woman In White’ (Palace Theatre), ‘Zorro - The Musical’ (Garrick) and the sequel to Phantom Of The Opera, Webber’s ‘Love Never Dies’ (Adelphi). Television appearances include The Royal Variety Performance (London Palladium), The Olivier Awards Ceremony (London Hilton), The Paul O’Grady Show and Pebble Mill.

Over four consecutive years, Dale has also vocally arranged, staged and conducted a 28 voice Rock Choir that have performed at the OVO Arena Wembley, as featured artists for the ‘Voice In A Million’ concerts.

Over the past 30 years, Dale has taught singing and Musical Theatre in multiple Performing Arts institutions, currently working at Laine, Italia Conti and Stagecoach.
