Harry Hughes
Following the retirement of Betty Laine OBE, Harry was appointed Executive Director of Laine Theatre Arts in 2023. A graduate of Laine Theatre Arts, Harry has enjoyed a wide-ranging performance career across stage, screen and voice. His television credits include Holby City and Casualty (BBC), and he has performed with Il Divo for the Royal Variety Performance at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. Harry played ‘Nicky’ in the band TOYBOIZE, alongside BAFTA-nominated Jamie Deeks (Talkback Thames/Fremantle Media).
Harry has also appeared as a dancer on The X Factor (Brian Friedman, ITV), Toyota Launch at the Excel Centre (Kim Gavin), performed at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Final and starred in seven pantomimes alongside the UK’s longest-running Dame, Berwick Kaler, at York Theatre Royal.
As a voice-over artist, Harry has appeared in both series of Old Peter’s Russian Tales (BBC Radio 4), contributed to multiple projects with Pearson’s language programmes, and has worked as an animation voice artist for the Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney for over ten years.
